help buy a van

The Van that we use at Fresh Hope is currently only just holding up and needs to be replaced.

The Original van was a second-hand purchase in 2010 and it is now in a poor condition. The vehicle is used mainly by the residents to go to and from school, for their home visits and court hearings, recreational and emergency trips, and also for the the staff in attending meetings far from the house.   Given its current state, the vehicle needs to undergo several repairs and maintenance on different parts every month – air conditioning is non-functional, breaks and clutch are almost in disrepair. At present, the residents use one of the staff’s personally-owned tricycle to go to and from school and other staffs’ car in attending meetings and other trips in farther areas. Aside from the great cost the repair and maintenance incur, it puts the safety of the residents and staff at a compromise when travelling.

The van is a great help for the staff and residents of FHFP and we planning to replace it with a brand new one of the same model (KIA K2500 2019 model).  The cost of the new van is Php 1.2 million. Our aim is to raise the necessary funds by mid-year and purchase the van as soon as possible.
